Chanel Eyeshadow Les 4 Ombres Harmonies limited edition palettes are inspired by the iconic Tweeds of the iconic fashion house. If you loved the gorgeous Tweed-effect Chanel blushes from last year (also limited edition and long-gone), you’ll adore these.
I picked up 3: Tisse Vendome in beige, browns and apricot, Tisse Cambon has a lovely pink with a killer purple and a beige and brown, and Tisse Mademoiselle in all beiges and browns. The Chanel eyeshadow packaging includes a wonderful little booklet with several different application suggestions: smokey, day wear, etc… that are easy to follow and mirror the Chanel website modeled photos.
The Ombre effect is a bit shimmery and increase depth of color. It’s close to the reflective look of recent MAC and Laura Mercier mineral eye shadows or Nars dual-effect shadows. I found that the new Nars Night series of eye liner pencils look superb with these palettes. Just sayin’.
Chanel says of the Tisse Vendome Chanel eyeshadow palette: “Open this palette as you would a jewelry box and step into the Paris of Gabrielle Chanel.”
From Chanel.com: ” (Chanel’s eyeshadow in Tisse Mademoiselle has) luminous beige and intense beige, satiny yellow and khaki brown blend together and become one to give your eyes a very fashionable nude style.”
“Vintage pinks set the scene. The color harmony unveils subtle, soft and luminous tones, from an iridescent mauve and a velvet blackcurrant to a bluish pale pink and an intense pink.” (From Chanel.com)
